I was so *excited* to see that H!P was finally releasing individual member T-shirts which bear their own *images*~! ＾　＾ The only drawback is that they're so so large!!! (・д・`*) It seems that they only come in one size now...."large?" and they really really are just that~! (/∇＼*)！Still that takes nothing away from these designs from Momusu's "9 Smile" concert tour~ and I can always *sleep* in them ne~ o(*´∀｀)o゛♥。

Both front and backs bear prints~ and while each back has the now very familiar "Nine Smile" logo of smileys~ =D it's their fronts which really are so much *prettier* than I was anticipating.....as a lot of times those oh so tiny merchandise photos while ordering are much too small to show the true details~ of the prints!

I'm sorry that these didn't turn out so well (._.;)! as I couldn't seem to use the flash as it would always obscure these closer up images~. But the member images are actually really clear and nicely done~! I chose my favorites♥ in Gakisan, Aichan and umm.......OF COURSE KAMEI♥!!! Σ(￣◇￣*)！as she's my most favorite♥ out of the current group lineup just barely edging Aichan♥~ ＾　＾。

Each T-shirt set~ includes two member photographs and I always love these so much~! as everyone's wearing their own designs and while these photos are standard for these sets what's not quite expected are those "Smile mini boards" which include adhesive clear strips to attach to their backs~ making them like miniature masks~ ＾　＾。Just as with the "smiley" T-shirt designs....each smiley mini board corresponds to a specific member which are also color coded to match~ and it was really a surprise seeing these in place of the nearly always present wristbands~ which typically accompany these releases~. I just wonder how one will see (・_・)； with these one as only the mouth portions are open~?…(^q^)!

The member photograph sets are so *pretty* too~! and each member's gestures while wearing these designs....so *cute*~! One with smiley~...one without~..below are their scans ＾　＾。。。

I was really quite apprehensive (ﾟﾍﾟ) of what this,...Momusu's now 41st single release would sound like as leading up to this weekend I've read as well as been told ( ﾟ∀(・－・)！quite a lot of varying opinions on the musical♪♪～ direction that Tsunku may be taking here with their latest offering~.

So with bated *breath* (・д・`*) I wondered if this could possibly be the very first Momusu single~ that I'm not very fond of? Hmm....so not the case so....um Henkka aka "Henttai" now (^-^*) you may still make fun of me being so easy to please and liking..."everything?"…(^q^)! I'm still waiting for their accompanying pv DVD single to arrive so for now there are at least two pv versions to enjoy in the meantime~ ＾　＾！

So this is Kohachan's last single with Momusu (;´□｀) and while I still long to hear more songs specifically written for graduating members as with "Never Forget" and "Koi no kioku", still this is a *wonderful* single to remember as Kohachan's last~. "Kimagure Princess" is no doubt a throwback song~ taking the listener way back to two most prominent singles...those being among Tsunku's most creative masterpieces I think...in both "Koi no dance site" as well as "Happy Summer Wedding."

Admittedly at first after hearing of vocal manipulation and maybe possibly some oddness??....I was so expecting Tsunku to have penned a single among the likes of his most awesomely quirky ヽ(。´▽`。)ノ。"Chokotto Love♥!!"

Still one of the best strange songs that Tsunku has written to date~...the first time I listened to "Chokotto Love" I was like..E~h?! (・_・)； but by my second listen I was is love♥ ………(゜∀゜)………。with this so fun song~! The pv is also quite priceless too~ so I've included the music video just below of my babbling here ↓↓↓。

(*sigh*) it was Sayaka's first and last single with Pucchimoni as she was soon to leave even Momusu (;´□｀)。。。and it also marked about the central moment of Japan going from their most unique 3" CD single format to the conventional full sized disc for singles~. I say 'central' because I always found it quite interesting that Pucchimoni's "Chokotto Love" came in a full sized CD jewel case while the disc itself remained as a 3" sized disc~. Songs and Tsunku's imagination just doesn't get much more fun than this single♪♪～！！Quirky *perfection* o(*´∀｀)o゛～♥。。。

One most notable change to this year's designs are that the familiar metal clasp that was used to keep all of the calendar's pages binded together atop has now been replaced by a much wider cardboard~. What this means is that if you had been like I have...folding each month over without removing them in an attempt to preserve these calendars, the larger cardboard top will cause each month to crease much lower down into each page which isn't very good so perhaps now removing them completely after each month expires may be for the best~. What's nice now though is that in removing each month the task is much much easier as they're clearly perforated atop right aside of the cardboard tops. =) ....so no more trying to cut them across with a razor which will make anyone nervous I think~!

In replacing 2009's calendars at the end of the year I'm still finding that I have 4 areas available to display these full sized wall calendars......so it encouraged me to once again not hold back in getting each of H!P's 3 main group's calendars for 2010 (*´∀｀*)！I was also most tempted to purchase Manoeri's but in the end I decided on getting Hirano♥Aya's instead~＾　＾。Most of this years calendars range in price from 2200 yen ~ 2500 yen.

Berryz Koubou's theme for 2010 is shigoto....or careers I should say?...work~. =) From a moving company, fast food, flower shop, beauty & salon, record shop♥ to bakery~ the members are grouped into pairings of two or three per calendar page but what I always seem to find to be the best shots are the ones which include the entire group together and besides this year's cover, the final extra page which isn't marked by a month is once again the prettiest I think to display~ o(*´∀｀)o゛！It's quite a change from last years too in that 2010 for BK really has gone cartoonish in a way rather than showing them in the ambiance of the outdoors~.

If one owns all of Momusu's singles and therefore their accompanying b-sides then perhaps this release is far more collectible than necessary to own....however even though I do own all 40 of their singles in every edition type the presentation and packaging alone make this a definite must have~!

42 songs♪♪～, three discs, and a 100 page all photo booklet come housed in a sturdy outer slip case and everything is *wonderfully* decorated with all Momusu members....past and present to make up one of the most impressively packaged releases that H!P has yet released~.

While the lyrics booklet contains only one photo (scanned above), the LE's 100 page red booklet is completely filled with color photos all playfully combining the current lineup w/ all members of the past~ through solo photo shoots...group shots....a very cool and impressive time line of when each member joined as well as a complete single cover discography~. And the best part is that the LE's photo booklet is a hard cover edition~!....very much like how H!P's "ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL" LE first pressing single's hard cover booklet was designed~!...making this LE I think a must have for this reason alone!!

I love how UFI decided to use one of the earliest photos available for each member's picture on the outer slip case...while the lyrics booklet does the complete opposite showing each member in their latter or current appearance which is quite a *sweet* touch~.

And talk about *natsukashii~* o(*´∀｀)o゛♥~。。。as listening♪♪～ to each of these three discs in succession brings back so many memories~ and it puts a great twist on just listening to the main title tracks as one perhaps may tend to do?

B-sides have always somehow had a very special place in my heart♥~...in that it just seems that so often I find myself loving these coupling with songs either equally or at times even more than their title tracks~....

...so while it would be painfully odd for you to want to read them all, I've just listed my most favorite♥ coupling with songs♪♪～ here...."ai no tane", "Happy Night", "Never Forget", "Inspiration!", "Dekkai uchuu ni ai ga aru", "Popcorn Love!", "Jun Lover", "Never Forget (Rock Ver.), "Koi ING", "Fine Emotion!", "Love & Peace! HERO ga yatte kita", "Watashi ga tsuiteru" and "Sono Bamen de Bibiccha Ikenai Jan!" Um...I could keep listing them but those are just the very top for me in Momusu b-sides~. ＾　＾

I apologize so much for my poor scanning as some of these aren't quite straight (ノロ≦。)！as I was so trying not to harm the booklet's spine and adhesives for the pages~.......but somehow I did manage to scan the entire hard cover booklet just below ↓↓↓。。。just to give you a clear idea of what to expect if you do decide to order this complete coupling with collection~....very highly recommended!! ＼(^o^)／☆ Love all of these photos so much!!....

This past Saturday night I was up a bit late and chatting* in IW's #wotachat room when I was told this most unexpected and devastating news....that Morning Musume's Kohachan was announced to be graduating from not only Momusu, but also from Hello! Project completely (;´□｀). Her graduation is set to happen on December 6th at the conclusion of Momusu's 2009 Autumn "Nine Smile" concert tour which will be held at Tokyo Kouseinen Kinkaiken.

The initial details mention modeling as Kohachan's possible post H!P career of choice but with this announcement's abruptness coupled with the fact that Kohachan is no where near to be a so called "next in line" to graduate member with her time in the group not being very long just yet and with numerous fellow members ahead of her in this regard, this really gives me a feeling that she's being in a sense forced out? Further there have been sources saying that her mood as of late hasn't been much of her genki self~ (;_;).

However much like Erikachan's recent decision to pursue modeling as her career choice and thus leave H!P perhaps this is much in the same....I'm just feeling a bit uneasy about this announcement though....and while Erikachan's decision was clearly of her own doing, this has much more the feeling of an offiicial UFI decision and just the manner in which it was announced by Tsunku seems so different. Surely Kohachan could pursue modeling outside of H!P while still being in it I would think?...but more importantly and regardless of what may have brought about this decision, it's truly much more about what will be missed and lost when Kohachan♥ departs from H!P on December 6th~.

Being labeled right from the very beginning by Tsunku as the *miracle* girl~ surely has caused rifts amongst fans and really during this past now decade + of me growing up along with Momusu I've just never witnessed any other member in H!P being on such opposite ends of the spectrum as viewed through H!P fans eyes. In large there seems to be an either overwhelming love of Kohachan or overwhelming dislike of Kohachan but very little middle of the fence sentiments. Truly every individual has every right to be very passionate about groups/artists they love and one such passion surely could lead to there being much *adored* artists and that those members that fans just don't connect to for various reasons....and in that light Kohachan has spent so much of her time in Momusu/H!P being deeply scrutinized. Again I think Tsunku's labeling of Kohachan with such a title as the "miracle" girl really set a flame to create such disparity and I think even a few personal conceptions may have been different had she just been Gen. 7~ as this surely set expectations so much higher for Kohachan.

During these past four years in Hello! Project Kohachan really did live up to much of Tsunku's hype though with her being at one point H!P's youngest soloist to debut, all of her accomplishments as a seiyuu♥ as well as her much busy schedule as I can only imagine must have been so hectic with Kohachan being active in so many other group releases outside of her work in Momusu~. Through it all I think Kohachan *shined* so much and while she may not have been one of H!P's stronger vocalists.....I don't think anyone can question her 110% effort which is always evident whether it be in live performances, her in studio seiyuu work, appearances on variety programs or fan events~. And in the end that's all one really can do if they're dedicated enough....is to give it their all~ and Kohachan always did just that....give it her all~. I think back to being able to watch Momusu appearing at her school for the special announcement...that she had just won the Gen.7 audition as was was now the new sole member of that generation.....how *amazing* it was to see her expression and reaction o(*´∀｀)o゛ on that day~ and to have it occur in front of her fellow classmates just so heartwarming♥~. How Tsunku personally visited her home and met with her parents and followed up with a personal tutoring in voice lessons all done to Momusu's *beloved* classic "Furusato".....time goes by so quickly~(´⌒｀。)....I think now I'll rewatch some of this....just to remember the beginnings of what she brought to Momusu and H!P.

And what will be missed?....and lost?..when Kohachan does leave on December 6th? An irreplaceable uniqueness, energy and genkiness♥ that's truly unmatched in the whole of H!P at this moment.....which leads to group dynamics and how Momusu will be weaker for this in her absence~. Kohachan always brought a higher level of joy to whatever the occassion and it never really mattered, it's just her natural glow and *personality* which always beams so much that you can't but help notice her always~. And this is just the surface of what will be lost on that day. (;_;).

I just try to imagine what it would be like to have such a *wonderful* opportunity to be an idol..a member of such an amazing group! (*´∀｀*)♪♪~ And think of how you would be there while so nervous and full of butterflies and yet always trying to do your very best...wanting to be *endeared* by fans and wanting to accomplish so much~. I imagine that anyone in this very opportunity would be so subceptible to outside criticism or worse...words that can be hurtful. It may be that with how the world's ability to instantly communicate...through various avenues like twitter...facebook somehow we've become much too desensitized with our words at just how easy it is to reach anyone~. But truly words can and always will have the ability to be so very hurtful (;´□｀) no matter the means in which they're presented and in this sense I feel Kohachan has endured so much over these four years spent in the spotlight with so many awful comments aimed at her from what I've seen.....and in a sense sometimes when there's nothing nice to say about a person maybe it would be nicer for those words to be left unsaid...at least not in a public forum as we're all human and capable of one thing for sure, and that is hurt. And you just never know who may be reading (　┰_┰).

(.....now watching Momusu's "Aruiteru" pv...I've just always thought that Kohachan♥ was so *genki* in her solo parts while walking and her enthusiasm so *cute* and lively......I just need to watch something to help *cheer* me up (+_+).)

I'll miss you so much Kohachan♥.....I *wish* for you the very best as you so deserve it~.＾　＾

Sometimes little realizations come to mind at the most random of times....take for instance me watching an Arashi concert DVD and suddenly thinking to myself just a few *things*.......like why didn't I own a single Aichan or Gakisan shirt of any kind until now?..(._.;). With both being long time favorite members it's also quite wacky of me~ :P. That and why didn't I find out about rice milk earlier in life~? Tastes like skim milk and without any bad (゜ロ゜ノ)ノ effects!

*Cereal* officially has a best friend once again. o(*´∀｀)o゛♥..........

...and why does the line you choose to stand in at the supermarket always inevitably seem to take the longest? (price check? (・_・) )...what exactly is a "body pillow" supposed to be for?…(^q^).....was I hooked on dial up for much too long? :P.......could I really ever be happy enough to appear in one of those "Windows Mojave" video clips?......why does *popcorn* always taste better w/ friends & a movie?........how old is Keith Richards really??? (・c_・;)?.....and will he actually outlive everyone including the cockroaches...eww!!.....and what is "phenylketonurics?" which is said to contain "Phenylalanine"..maybe I should call 1-800 WRIGLEY to find out. (。ーωー。)  ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪~...as it seems to be in everything that's sugar free.......and why don't psychics win the lottery all the time?..or attend horse races where lots can be won? (Lady Cleo anyone? XD)....and if man evolved from apes, why are there still apes?....what exactly is Grimace anyway? O_o......and why does Tarzan not have a beard?..does he secretly shave with three blades or four? (Gillette should contact him asap~!).......why isn't H!P/Momusu available on blu-ray?......why can't Big Papi hit the ball anymore?.........and if salmon isn't actually salmon colored before we color it to make it pretty, why is it called salmon?.....when will the $ stop sinking?!! (;´□｀).....and would a guy really trade his girlfriend for a couple of BK Star Trek glasses? ・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。...surely this cannot be...ne~.

Oh and before I forget here are scans of Aichan & Gakisan's UFI photos which came with the Platinum 9 T-shirt sets.....I wonder if I could send Roger Federer one of these cute wristbands to wish him *luck* at Roland Garros? =).......................something tells me that I maybe should watch more Arashi concerts more often. :P

Both Aichan & Gakisan are soooooo ＊adorable＊ in these photos! ("fight!! photos always get to me! ♥~)...and photo sets which accompany merchandise which the members are either wearing or holding in them seems to make them a bit more warm and *fuzzy* it seems~. XD

Perhaps no show has been more supportive...nurturing...and yet so.....um eager to torture Momusu on a week to week basis as ♥Utaban♥ has over the years~. XD And where timing can be so key to one's success both Momusu and Utaban were so new together, coinciding perfectly as they each grew on their own and of course *together*. (*´∀｀*)♥

Ichii Sayaka "kaasan" had just departed the group....the group lineup in the following clips are the "Happy Summer Wedding" group so Gen.4 was brand new with Tsuji/Kago (yet to be nicknamed Nono/Aibon) being sooooo *adorable* here and of course there's a very cute Yossi & Rikachan rounding out the rookies of the group~. =)

Finding and collecting t.v. show clips back then was absolutely nothing like it is today....with the internet not yet being the amazing file sharing land that it has grown into in time, if you lived outside of Japan then finding clips on your own was really a case of exploring the shelves of your local Japanese video store and hoping to find the most recent t.v. shows there amongst the rows and rows of VHS tapes~. And if you were lucky the quality would be sort of decent on some accounts but for the most part you'd end up with at least a bit of graininess to cope with when you returned home with your newly found *treasures* to watch~. After all we're weren't yet capable of home DVD transfers of video so being digital was out of the question as of yet. (Gomen ne~...the caps and video clips are on the *fuzzier* side due to the VHS source tape.) So I was watching some old tapes during this past week and I came across some priceless old Utaban clips which I haven't viewed in what seems like ages so it was time to make sure that the VCR was still alive and.....wallah~!.............

...It all seems so innocent really, we have Nakaikun with his erm buzzer thingie~................

..............which when *buzzed* then alerts a calm and thoughtful Taka-san to turn on a member's air tank thus filling balloons up to dimensions they were never intended for....XD.......well.........

.............he's sort of innocent and calm looking......

.......until "provoked!!" (゜Д゜;)!!.......and about those balloons..I almost forgot to mention...

  ...they're clipped on to each member of the group…(^q^) Here Rikachan after finding herself "speechless" in trying to remember the word order gets a bit of Taka-san's "air" love♥~. XD

Wait...I'm getting a bit ahead here as the "game" being played involves word memorization set to a specific theme which changes after a member is unable to come up with the right words in the correct order in which they are spoken......thus the over inflated balloon~. :o For example if the given theme were to be something like "things you find in a bento box...", the first member (from left to right the order then circles back to member on the left..on and on until a mistake is made or a member is unable to think of a word which fits the criteria) could say "salmon"..the next member would then have to say "salmon" and then add her item and on down the line as the chain of words keeps growing longer and longer making it more difficult to remember the correct order or come up with one's own new words to add!~. :o

From the very start though a few things seem to be amiss.....however as we know this is Utaban so they're rather definitely by design! :P Such as Yukosan's (*sigh* I miss Yukosan so much!...I think she was the best leader Momusu ever had...o(*´∀｀)o゛♥) having a slight issue with her positioning in the seat arrangement and the producers of Utaban....XD.....

....and then there's the un-inflated balloons themselves which as noted by Kaorin and Gomaki ("Gocchin"...she always had the cutest nicknames! with the former one reminding me of a Gotou "sush roll" if such a thing exists =) ) have something in them?!! (*´艸`)!!


And even after exploding once (here Yukosan's explodes all on its own mysteriously! :o ) these balloons which are "affectionately" called "doubles" by Nakaikun & Taka-san continue to be inflated with a second life all their own~. (・д・`*)!!!.........

.....with some reaching freakishly huge sizes!!! Note the usual suspects which Utaban routinely loves to "torture"!!....Kaorin, Yukosan, Keisan and well they tried Gocchin from the very beginning although that didn't seem to last very long as she would later have none of it!!! XD Hmmm..funny when some balloons are capable of reaching much greater heights of abomination~! than others…(^q^)

After transferring VHS to DVD I've uploaded this Utaban gem below ＾　＾.....I apologize again for the lesser quality and I needed to divide the original 30 minute clip into 3 parts here due to the giant size of the file which I don't think YouTube would accept as a single upload..gomen ne~)............

So sit back.....relax......and enjoy all of the wild balloon madness which only a show like Utaban is truly capable of bringing into our living rooms on a regular basis week after week! ＼(^o^)／☆ Some fun things to take note of while watching these 3 clips are: When asked to present "good" adjectives about Taka-san ("良所") "iitokoro", Yuko lets out a gasp of "EHHH?!!" and hilarity ensues! / "Super Slow" mo footage is just hilarious and their voices sound low growls!…(^q^) / Yossi has the funniest expression when her balloon is heading towards inevitable explosion! / each member's air tank has their name written upon it...how ♥sweet♥! XD / Gocchin's, Kaorin's & Yuko's balloons become unspeakably large!!! / a great nostalgic performance of "Happy Summer Wedding"!!! / the "Johnson" nickname is already in regular use!!..to unlock the mysteries to Kaorin's *special* nickname visit here. =) / both Nakaikun and Takasan have a soft spot for Tsuji ('Nono") which rears itself to the dismay of her fellow members XD / Gocchin loses a sandal! / Kaorin names an entire continent when the theme was asking for "countries" instead! :P / Special balloons are known as "doubles" ♥♥♥~ / Taka-san remarks on there...."being more room" in those very *special* balloons* when they haven't yet reached their bursting point! / Tsuji ("Nono") does the sweetest thing when Gocchin's balloon is about to explode by trying her best to hold it away from Gocchin...awww this was really the sweetest!!~ (note: when asked by Nakaikun what she was doing afterwards she replies..."fuseideta" which means to "protect;defend" o(*´∀｀)o゛♥) / Yuko's chair gets further and further away whenever a fellow member is having a bit of difficulty in remembering the order of words or coming up with a new one XD / Gocchin is definitely the most terrified of oversized balloons....but really who wouldn't be! :P Still her reactions are the truest of them all alongside Johnson's & Yuko's of course!~

Just be sure to beware of Taka-san's......um actions after Gocchin's exploding balloon as I'm not entirely sure of what exactly he's doing here........(・c_・;)？And something tells me that I so don't want to know!! (゜ロ゜ノ)ノ
So now here's "Fuusen wari kokon touzai game!!" on Utaban...............

H!P producers have long been one the very best at utilizing larger group lineups and just released on May 13th...Momusu's latest single is a perfect example of the culmination of years of such development~. I have a hope that Tsunku intends to not tweak this lineup for a long while as with departures and especially with new entries into Momusu the building process of overall talent and chemistry starts anew once again.....and now with this lineup being together for some time now they've really grown into such a solid unit and with just one viewing of "Shouganai yumeoibito"'s dance shot version you're truly given a sense of what Momusu has accomplished as a whole in this mixing of generations~.

All three covers boast such *beautiful* photography and what makes each stunning in their own right is the unique approach taken...with a close up portrait (RE)..jumping shot (LE type B)..and the most picturesque being LE type A's golden jungle gym set~. Everyone!! just looks so gorgeous in this release!!! =) And on a very encouraging note as this hasn't been the case recently....but "Shouganai yumeoibito"'s LE type A is already sold out at Cdjapan.....which may be a great indication that their sales will be great perhaps and I really do *hope* so as this single would be so deserving to chart highly~! It was just released yesterday (Japan time) and is already out of print?!!....really really amazing I think!! ＼(^o^)／☆

Both LE's include an additional DVD with type A providing fans with a "Dance Shot Ver." while type B includes a "Close-up ver." of the title track's pv. And with no jacket shooting or behind the scenes footage expect lots to appear on their still to be released pv DVD single which is set for a May 20th release~.

The soft and free flowing style of each member's wardrobe lends perfectly to the fluid choreography which punctuates "Shouganai yumeoibito"'s very elegance~......much of which features "classical" posturing with just a touch of *sensuality*~. While Tsunku has been recently leading Momusu with r&b/techno flavored single tracks it's nice to hear Momusu's two latest being more truly "J-Pop" oriented and while "Shouganai yumeoibito" is no doubt laced with whimsical musical interludes within and a sweet weeping violin♪♪...it's still filled with a strong dramatic conviction in tone, much of which is accented to perfection by its accompanying dance choreography~. From what has been a longstanding trademark of Momusu..the constant shuffling which brings various members to the forefront of attention throughout the dance is pretty well rounded here I felt, although with definite favorites out there surely there will always be more to be desired. And on a totally random note Mitsii looks so dazzling with those extensions on which she wears on all three CD cover editions as well as in the "Dance Shot ver." of their pv~!! For some reason she isn't wearing them in the "Close-up Ver." of the pv.......in any case Mitsii should surely grow her hair out again for sure!...as it really suits her facial features much better I think than a shorter hairstyle does. =) Just a little hair *rant* from me!...gomen~. XD


"Shouganai yumeoibito"'s close-up version of its pv is a bit more interesting than some of its predecessors in that the distance and camera angles are varied throughout and even if slightly done so it gives its overall appeal more personality in a sense~. There's a definite melancoly captured here in both expression and shades....and appropriately so as to match the very essence of the song itself. Not your usual genki Musume~...but I really love how emotions of the lyrics are conveyed here utilizing just profiles and the overall moodyness of their appearance~.
The coupling with track "3, 2, 1 BREAKIN' OUT!" has sort of a fun 80's flair to it and is noted to be the upcoming Anime Expo's theme song to be held in L.A. later this year~. It's rather a total opposite to the title track's deep moodyness and surely will suit such a gathering perfectly~. Cool harmonies♪♪~ and very danceable...perfect for audience participation in a live event~. ＾　＾
