Debuted at #1 on the Oricon...check!.....with first day sales already topping the 135,000 mark! Sugoi~ne!
Arashi's "Everything" RE CD single can be ordered here at Cdjapan.
While YesAsia is also out of stock of the LE, the RE as well as a LE Korean version w/DVD can be still ordered here at YesAsia.
Arashi's "Everything" RE can be ordered here at HMV Japan.
Just continuing to ♥ Arashi CD releases including their music videos!.....H!P..(hint! hint!) Both the limited edition and regular editions have quite similar cover artwork with the LE being set on a beach while the RE was shot with a bit of greenery which looks to be just a bit further away from the shorline~. While the LE includes said *wonderful* pv the RE includes karaoke tracks for both title track and coupling with songs which is a rather nice touch.
I'm so hesitant to describe "Everything" as purely a ballad as its song structure is rather well driven and upbeat all the while making me *misty* eyed by its beautifully euphoric feeling ヽ(。´▽`。)ノ。。!! which resonates clearly in its melody♪♪~. The second verse in particular is a most favorited part of mine as the member solos really show off their strong and so unique vocals~. And leave it to Riida to raise *everything* to further heights during the bridge portion. =) "Everything" will be such a crowd pleaser in concert where I can imagine the entire arena seranading in unison~.
From the slightly grainy feeling of the film, to the pv's in studio setting, the circle of mics in addition to the casual attire you just get such a feeling of *warmth* along with an underlying aura of realism to the overall style and look of the pv~. Add in the walking scenes shot in the glow of the sunset and this is absolute joy to watch! Simply, no one does it any better than Arashi~.
While the advent of the 3 version release doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon Johnny's does its best to maximize the love by including both original pvs...(so wish that H!P would return to releasing their pv DVD singles on the same day as their "accompanying" CD releases…(u_u*) ) albeit that fans must purchase both LE editions Types 1 & 2 in order to own both music videos~.
Type 1 LE includes the pv for "Ashita no kioku" while type 2's LE includes the pv for "Crazy Moon~kimi wa muteki~"...but not to be totally outdone Arashi's regular edition includes a *cute* sticker sheet.....scanned below.....as well as karaoke tracks for both songs♪♪.
Arashi's "Ashita no kioku"/ "Crazy Moon~kimi wa muteki~" RE can be ordered here at Cdjapan. (note: both LE's are out of print)
Arashi's "Ashita no kioku"/ "Crazy Moon~kimi wa muteki~" LE types 1 & 2 are available in Korean versions and can be found in this listing at YesAsia.
While the CD jackets are a single sheet bearing both track's lyrics, both LE's also include mini photo booklets featuring solo photos of each member and as with all Johnny's releases you just know that their photography will be great!........
Simply, Arashi just has some of the best ballads and mid tempo compositions out there and through their pvs and the very styling of them both tracks really shine through with an array of softness for "Ashita no kioku" while the pv for "Crazy Moon~kimi wa muteki~" is shot with sheer coolness and a frenzy of tightly choreographed eye candy~! And with each member's so unique voices the solo member lines in the second verse of "Ashita no kioku" so mesmerizing....♥
Each member's attire also reflects the polar opposites that these tracks reflect but what I really love is their hair styling which goes from very soft and elegant in "Ashita no kioku" to hot and tempered in "Crazy Moon~kimi wa muteki~"...so difficult to decide which look works better on them~! (*´∀`*)

....I have really no wall space anywhere to hang these up so sadly they'll remain rolled up in storage for now. :/ These are two of the most visually stunning posters that I have ever seen!!....and they're so gigantic!..it's amazing! =)
Purchasing all three editions for a single release probably sounds a bit crazy......but in my um defense they were all must haves due to the included extras that each edition offered~. XD Jacket type A includes a bonus DVD with the pv for the title track and also an "Off Shot" extra clip for an approximate running time of 8 minutes.......jacket B includes the pv for the coupling with track "Mugen no hane" (Tackey Special Version)~......and yes! even the "Regular Edition" has extras to boast which includes a bonus song♪♪ not included on either jackets A or B and also karaoke versions of all three tracks just in case you decide to take your *show* on the road and need a bit of practice time or perhaps just a personal concert in the comforts of your *shower*~. =)
In all the opening segments of the DVD run approximately 39 minutes leading up to the actual concert beginning with.....(and note that I'm only scratching the surface here as there are just so many wonderful surprises included in the opening footage): Approximately 9 minutes of early rehearsal footage & behind the scenes coverage leading up to Matsujun's inspirational final concert speech to everyone (I cracked up at Shokun's antics of randomly coughing at Riida and the sight of seeing Matsujun warm up his vocals with a CD player was a most intimate and real moment!) / Footage of the arena's preparation including the set up of those wonderful moving indiviual lifts and platforms!! / approximately 6 more minutes of rehearsals, candid interviews (which run throughout) as well as Arashi's first time surveying the site before set up would begin. / Approximately 7 minutes documenting the recording of "Re(mark)able" including individual in studio member recordings where notably Nino is just so confident and so much the professional with his parts~!.....and an amusing moment with Shokun as he encounters a few little mishaps during his rap! XD / Approximately 5 more minutes of rehearsal footage. /
Furthermore all of the extensive pre-planning and run throughs needed for a concert of this magnitude are broken down wonderfully and in particular during the practice for "Re(mark)able", fans are given incredible insight into the inner workings of such a production on a grand scale~! Just the size of the venue itself is amazingly large and if I understood correctly this was a former host of the Olympic games many years ago.....and Arashi at one point gets a close up look at the cauldron which beared the flame once! The camera's access in this opening is nothing short of extraordinary giving a unique and rare look into all that goes into the amazing concerts that Arashi always perform for fans.....moving, raw, insightful...*beautiful*.......
Arashi's "AAA 2008 in Tokyo" can be ordered here at Cdjapan.
Arashi's "AAA in Tokyo" can be ordered here at YesAsia.
(and now for a bit of picspam from the opening before a few favorite performances...) Note: Shokun's custom shoes!, Aiba being dunked! :o Brrrrrrr!!!!!!!! and a lack of shirts being worn here! =) The comradeship, always so special with Arashi~. (*´∀`*)
The included 28 page booklet consists of mostly the lyrics of the songs included in the concert's set list but there are some cute photo collages includes as well.......
I've been *dreaming* of a live concert performance of their most beautiful mid tempo ballad "Still..." for some time now~.............alas my dreams are answered! ………(゜∀゜)………。Shokun's rap gives me *goosebumps*…(^q^)
There's so much ~♥~ in Arashi's performances and after watching this concert surely you'll feel tired!!! XD They just put so much energy and effort into their stage choreography and their ability to connect with fans throughout their shows are truly second to none~. From the opening with one of their most beloved songs♪♪ "Love so sweet" till the finale which ends with the fun antics resembling a giant "slip & slide" across the stage, Arashi delivers the complete concert experience.....precise, memorable, awe inspiring.....*re(mark)able*. ^ ^
...from the very first launching of the hundreds of balloons, you just know this was going to be very special~. "One Love".............
Ah~ and did I previously mention the water games?!.......when a concert ends with shirtless members and a giant slip & slide you just know it was a phenomenal concert!!!! =) Here is just a prelude for things to come as a soaked Aiba will tell you~! ^ ^
..........and the *wet* finale~!..........
...hmm..still not ordering "AAA 2008 in Tokyo"? ^ ^
........and in fitting fashion...........
.......at the end of it all...............
.................................................................
...............a "storm" was brewing~. 嵐。
Whenever my Blackberry buzzes with excitement and I see an e-mail being sent by Cdjapan's "Upcoming artist" release subscription I always anticipate the possibility of an Arashi release being in there..........and being goo goo for them the other reason of importance would be that they're LE releases just go out of print soooooo quickly!!!!! (゜Д゜;) Literally within just hours of receiving these release alerts they sell out due to the overwhelming demand of fans and of course the occasional buyer who seeks to re-sell them on online auction sites. So such an e-mail arrived late (for me! XD) one night and while I had woken up to get some water from the refrigerator I noticed that familiar red blinking light beckoning me from my Blackberry....could it be?.......Arashi was calling me? And so late? I have to work early tomorrow! Those thoughts took all of about 2 seconds to register in my half sleepy mind.. (・_・) ...........and I realized that Arashi was indeed calling me to go back to my laptop which I had just layed to sleep for the night about 3 hours earlier~ \(^o^)/☆. This called for quick action and I totally forgot that I was actually thirsty to begin with and was soon online............however, only LE type A and the regular edition were still available for pre-order......and in just three hours or possibly less Arashi's type B version was no where to be found! (;´□`) I had lost again........just like when "We Can Make It!" was released and in the wee hours of the morning I rushed in very much the same fashion only to find that another LE had indeed gotten away~! I was able to remedy the situation though back then by searching through Yahoo! Japan Auctions where it seemed that there were many copies of the LE for "We Can Make It!" available, albeit for a much higher and exasperated price! (._.;)
So it seems that in order to capture that elusive type B edition this time around I'll most likely need to go about the same route to my much wanted "Believe" / "Kumori nochi, Kaisei" type B. :/
(Please note that both type A and Type B Japanese version singles are out of print)
Arashi's "Believe"/ "Kumori nochi, kaisei" regular edition can be ordered here from Cdjapan.
Arashi's "Believe/ "Kumori nochi, kaisei" RE Japanese version as well as Korean first press editions of type A & B can be ordered here at YesAsia.
And in a time when "Regular Editions" are tossing caution to the wind by remaining as anything but "normal' these days...........Johnny's Jimusho makes sure we're paying lots and lots of attention to their third in line productions, that being the inclusion of a bonus track on this "RE" which isn't available on either LE type A or B releases. XD Additionally karaoke tracks of all three songs are also included.
....And then there's of course the allure of varied cover art work on all three editions where the "RE" has the most distict identity amongst the three (above). =) The black and grays against white give "Believe" / "Kumori nochi, kaisei" a most sophisticated look.....very cool and stylish~! The boys have each opted for a much shorter style this time and I think you'd be hard pressed to find them looking any prettier that they are here! ^ ^
And can they dance?...you bet~~!
While Arashi truly has many many stylish videos in their catalog, "Believe" is near tops in sleek production combining the artful dance of Arashi seamless with beautiful abstract visuals throughout. The set is just purely amazing with a surreal environment planting a picturesque tree in a large indoor chamber complete with water cascading walls. And matching this most mesmerizing pv in "Believe" you'll find a most infectious song♪♪ filled with controlled angst....the violins draping a wonderfully dramatic cloak.....lyrics with conviction......a horn section for sophistication......shake in another intense Shokun self penned rap........Arashi brings the rest~.
Arashi's 2009.04 -> 2010.03 calendar can be ordered here from YesAsia.
By ways of ingenius packaging Arashi's wall style calendar which measures approximately 17 1/2" X 11 3/4" is housed in a box nearly half it's size while not having it creased or damaged in any way of course!!
This year's diary desk style calendar is a beautiful and sturdily constructed hard cover book with a flat spine which measures approximately 8 1/2" X 6" and includes an impressive 126 pages of Arashi member photographs all intermingled with your daily functional note style calendar which covers 2 weeks per page.
Now no matter what age you are....who doesn't absolutely love stickers!!!! And Arashi's come in the form of a wonderfully glossy sheet which is covered with glittery-sparkling hologram goodness~!
The stickers are attached by perforation and with a great deal of care can be detached from the reverse side of the wall calendar's top edge. ^ ^
So first I was thinking to myself.......just how will I be able to scan the wall calendar as it's over twice the size of my scanner's surface area and being that you so wouldn't want to see me attempt to connect images in any way (even if I knew how..(._.;) ) luckily the sticker's images mirror those of the wall calendar's pages ( ̄▽ ̄).
The hazy fuzziness to the scan above is due to the sparkling hologram covering all of the images~! If you're like me then you tend to love collecting stickers all the while never daring to take them off of their sheets.....preserving them forever...because.............I actually have no idea why~…(^q^) All of the images are incredibly sexy and I imagine that all Shokun fans have fainted by now... XD
Below are just snapshots of the wall calendar's 6 pages (each covering two months) and for anyone familiar with Japanese wall style calendars........they're more like posters and very welcome so~! HP needs to build a much larger scanner :P. And I must make note of just how thick the wall calendar's pages are!!!!.....and glossy!!!!........I've simply never encountered such a well constructed wall calendar before. Did I mention just how thick the paper stock is?!! (*´∀`*)
Arashi's 5 members are very calendar friendly in number allowing one member for each two month page and one last page for a great group photo! ^ ^
Although not visible in the scan above, the lettering at the top goes from a dark gold to bright green when the calendar book is tilted in light. ^ ^ This hard cover release is nothing short of magnificent as your year will be completely engulfed in the warmth and candidness of Arashi member photographs which grace page after page of this 126+ page treasure. ………(゜∀゜)………。♥
I've scanned every page of the calendar/diary with the exception of only the intro page and final page which do not include any Arashi photographs or any part of the diary calendar. When laid flat the calendar fits nearly perfectly on my scanner's surface so I've scanned them two pages by two pages totaling 62 images below (124 pages total). I pressed down pretty firmly but the very middle of each two pages are a bit obscurred due to that area not making direct contact with the scanner's surface..gomen nasai (;´□`). LOL this took me nearly 4 hours to complete the scans yesterday late afternoon into the night leaving me no time to post them up until today...(._.;).
Gomen ne~ ....the scans may take awhile to fully load..楽しみして下さい!。。。。。
"Ai Kakumei" is featured in 3 versions with Jackets A & B being limited editions while Jacket C was released offering a first press edition. While all 3 were indeed tempting I opted for Jacket A for its inclusion of the titles track's pv as well as Jacket C for its bonus track "Home Party!!" (not available on Jackets A & B) along with it's first press feature which includes 3 alternate cover art work jackets. Jacket B's version includes the pv for the main coupling with track "WITH LOVE" which features footage from Tackey's "Enbujou" stage performances.
Takizawa Hideaki's "Ai kakumei" Jacket A version can be ordered here from Cdjapan.
Takizawa Hideaki's "Ai kakumei" Jacket B version can be ordered here from Cdjapan.
Takizawa Hideaki's "Ai kakumei" Jacket C version can be ordered here from Cdjapan. (first pressing which includes 3 alternate covers is sold out though)
Scans of the 3 alternate jacket covers included with the first pressing of Jacket C's release are below:
To say that all of the cover artwork is absolutely gorgeous is quite an understatement as I fumble for the right words...let me just say that all of the photography is 100% pretty!! ^o^ The sepia and black & white coloring creates a memorable and dramatic appeal along with a look of sweet sophistication serving all 3 releases very well.
"Ai kakumei" begins with a dramatic introduction which quickly moves to a latin feel bringing instant references similar to Tackey & Tsubasa's "Venus" release. From the instant that the dance scenes first appear fans are treated to T&T's trademark choreography as the overall production doesn't stray too far from the duo's aura. Within just a few listens I'm absolutely in ♥ with the title track as its drive and flair are a now a new guilty addiction of mine. ^ ^ While I love T&T when performing together I do also really like hearing each sing solo as they often do on their album and single releases as each has such a different and distinctly appealing vocal style. While perhaps Tsubasa may be the overall stronger vocalist in T&T, I do find an unmatchable appeal in Tackey's slightly ♥nasal♥ voice. o(*´∀`)o゛♪♪
A bit of an original twist is added to the very end of the pv as a little bit of post production footage closes out the pv in a most endearing fashion! Traditionally Japanese actors/actresses are presented with a bouquet of flowers as the end of production. ^ ^ Below is a joyous Tackey!.......
And in hindsight I do regret not purchasing Jacket B as well as I so want to watch the pv for "WITH LOVE!!!!!" >_<
Although the pv is above I also uploaded the mp3 for "Ai kakumei" without realizing that it may have not been necessary.....so the mind wanders while caught up in Tackey's Love Revolution it seems. :P
A cardboard Hey! Say! Jump! CD & DVD case which sort of resembles a counter display when folder together in place has some of the most amusing caricatures of each of the group's 10 members on each side!
But now back to the main reason for purchasing this issue!! Arashi of course!! I scanned their article below and I have to say what an awesome photo of Nino! Hmmm...and it looks like Riida needs to shave! :P
Happy New Year everyone~~! (*´∀`*)!!
^ ^
Order Arashi's 2009-2010 Johnny's School calendar at Cdjapan.
Well
The current calendar came boxed beautifully in a sturdy outer casing and also included a cook book which was an amazing touch sooooo for that cost of shipping one may wonder just what does one get if not a life size Nino "action" figure???? The details are below.......sounds amazing! But still so expensive to get one sent to Hawaii!!!! XD
Johnnys official school calender for April 2009 thru March 2010. Size: A5, 128 pages. Includes A3-size wall-hung calendar shot by Mika Ninagawa (7 pages) and A4-size hologram seal. *The calender may take a week or so to become available for shipping. The calenders come housed in specially made boxes, and because of this, they cannot be shipped together with any other type of products, such as CD, and DVD. Please place your calender order separately.
I'm especially intrigued by the inclusion of an 'A4 sized hologram seal'......plus we also get a calendar for the wall this time!!! The use of the words 'specially made boxes' has me encouraged as well as to how exactly this calendar will be presented.............but the original cost of the calendar is only 2095 yen so I'm really not sure what exactly to expect..... :/ Although the current Arashi calendar was much much more amazing than I could have ever dreamed~!♥
^ ^
I'm hoping that you can please lend me your ears with a couple of Kanjani8 songs and whether you're a fan of theirs or not I'd love to hear what you think....hmmm me? I've just begun learning about them only a few days ago but I'm really beginning to enjoy both their fun & attractive personalities as well as their music. So a friend just gave me two recent singles of theirs and asked if I could pick one over the other...not in an absolute fashion but rather if I had a preference of one more than the other.....hmmm...so I've been listening and I've picked one but I'd really love to hear what other fans of J-Pop in general think of them. I'll refrain from going into the nuances of each song that I find personally so as to not create any sort of influence...lol as if I could influence others! :P The mp3's are below the poll question. =)
Arigatou for taking the time to listen...yoroshiku onegaishimasu! ^ ^
