With the Elder's Club graduated, this was such a sweet~* surprise!! A Nacchi concert release~!! Filmed at Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater, this concert DVD contains two discs for nearly 200 minutes of footage including something quite unique to H!P as in addition to the tour's "making of footage" there's also an opening act~ performance on the second disc which runs approximately 17 minutes~! edit: I just realized from maiZe that I forgot to say their name here (._.;) Nacchi's opening act~ is "Kamomejidou Gashoudan." Thank you~* maiZe...I have many a bone~headed moments here (*´艸`)！

While this DVD has a bit of higher price tag at 5000￥...I do think that the inclusion of a live band complete with a string quartet in addition to the extensive footage contained within, make this release well worth the interest of any Nacchi fan~ ＾　＾。The instrumentation accompanying Nacchi onstage includes guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, saxophone, percussion, violin, viola and cello~ and while the string quartet is utilized in only particular arrangements~, their presence is most profound in those performances..even giving "Amasugita kajitsu" an "Eleanor Rigby" type of feel and rhythm~!

~While Nacchi's entire set~list is full of improvisation and new arrangements, the presence of a string quartet adds such possibilities which breath completely new life into her songs and at times are most reminiscent of a concert hall only that here pop and classical merge together in a venue of such open beauty (literally~!) and along with an ambiance of intimacy, allowing nature to shine in as a second audience to Nacchi's most special night~.

While the concert entails a very much even balance between uptempo~ to beloved ballads...the four performances that I've chosen to present here are perhaps more on the intimate side~ with my reasoning mostly being just how captivating Nacchi's vocals are during these song arrangements~...and I'll even go as far as saying that Nacchi here, in this venue, has her most strong and moving vocal performance to date~.  "Soyo kaze" opens the concert so I really wanted to feature it here first as it showcases the strings so much...then, "Shousetsu no naka no futari" for it's heartwarming melody~♥, "Iki wo kasanemashou" for it's spice~ of ska & reggae and "Sora LIFE GOES ON" as it's my most favorite♥ Nacchi song♪～ (*´∀｀*)♥ and it's a b~side! ＾　＾！

Much like how the sweeping epics~ of the beloved Final Fantasy series have grown, so have their musical♪ counterparts...ranging in a variety of emotions~* complementing this series so perfectly..all the while remaining true to its epic form~.

Sugawara Sayuri follows in the footsteps of Faye Wong, Shiratori Emiko, Aoki Mayuko and Angela Aki in laying her vocals to such a beautifully written song which swishes~* in rich and alluring orchestrations and while the Japanese release is just over a week old in its release, the included pv~ with her first press edition provides visuals aplenty to whet the appetite of those earnestly awaiting FFXIII's release in international markets. The first pressing also include a mini FFXIII sticker (photographed to the left)~.

While Suguwara Sayuri is a new vocalist to me, you can immediately hear why she was chosen to represent the musical headline for such a prestigious project~ as she possesses a deep and rich voice which resonates characteristics reserved for those of music's upper echelon of fine nuances~. "Kimi ga iru kara" is so so much a *beautiful~* song o(*´∀｀)o゛♥♥♥！！

The accompanying visuals...the CGs...even in~game screen play all work harmoniously together in the music clip which is more of a representation of the game itself as the theme song "Kimi ga iru kara" runs lightly in the background throughout under the narration of the sights and sounds of what looks to be another amazing FF chapter in RPG heaven~♥.

With just a few listens to the new theme song you readily feel a sense of the emotions instilled and what perhaps the new saga will journey us through~ and as with past FF themes after hours upon hours of game~play♥ it becomes inevitable and in the very same sense as with t.v. dramas that these theme songs truly become seamless to the entire experience as their very notes and lyrics begin to take on a life of their very own....reaching deep into your most nostalgic of memories even so, long after the series or game are finished~♥.

The first coupling with track "Eternal Love" is noted to be a "Sounyuu uta" ("insert song") and I imagine its role will be realized deep into the storyline where the character's bonds and story~lines become so intertwined together that its aura will be most prolific~. "Eternal Love"'s slow sweeping R&B lullaby persona very much shows how the series has modernized itself to this point~ that being said I somewhat still long for the styling~s of "Eyes on me" as sweet~* as this track truly is ＾　＾。Another departure from the series' past is the writing of separate theme songs for the English and Japanese releases of FFXIII, whereas in the past and as was such the case with Shiratori Emiko's "Melodies of Life"...both domestic and international releases enjoyed the employment of the very same track with language being the only alteration.....in that of "nihongo" and "eigo" versions both being available~. I do hope that its English counterpart is just as *pretty~*! (*´∀｀*)♥

The second "coupling" with track was such a sweet♥ surprise as it's an absolutely *pretty~* Christmas song~!! I now wish I had received this single just a bit earlier.....although I will be listening to Christmas music♪ at least into the first week of the New Year~*. Shhhh....it's a *secret* ( ﾟ∀(・－・)！

~There seems to be much debate on which side to take as the "Twilight" saga unfolds before us from beloved novels to the silver screen~....Team Edward♥ vs. Team Jacob♥ the debate rages on~!!!! Hmm..do you prefer your guy to be warm and furry or cold and and like a love magnet~?! (・c_・;)？

.....so.

...another such "hot" (。ーωー。) topic got me thinking today~…(^q^)!

~Released on September 9th of this year, every Ayachan♥ music video from her debut single~ "Bouken desho desho?" up to "Super Driver" are included and while numerous of these pvs were not previously commercially available (some were first press extras on her singles~) for me it was the very first time seeing quite a few of them~! っo(*´∀｀)o!

~What I love so much about all of Ayachan's♥ pvs is that they're all deeply original with their designs and choreography~. Every visual is enlightening and it's even amusing to hear Ayachan♥ comment in her making of clips of just how tired she's become after such energetic shooting~!!...in some clips she's just bouncing every~which way! And I soooo *adore* the props and sets~ used as Ayachan♥ goes from speed~racer...to a refrigerator with canned mushroom soup in it?!!!…(^q^) with a band in her living room~, drawings come to *life~*! as well as a shopping♥bag so large that Ayachan♥ simply fits into it entirely~ (・o・)！

2 DVDs!!!!..22 performances!!!....156 minutes!!!! It's Mr.Children!!!! my most favorite♥ band in the world's recently released concert DVD "Tour 2009 Shumatsu no confidence songs"~!!!! To say that I was *gushing*** with excitement on its arrival may still be an understatement~ ヽ(。´▽`。)ノ。。！！as this is already my most favorite♥ concert release of the year~ ＼(^o^)／☆！！！I think they're the most *wonderful*..*amazing*..*catchy*..band in the world~♥......oh and there's also The Beatles~♥!…(^q^)!

Mr.Children has often presented us with some of the most unique album art designs っo(*´∀｀)o!。。and this DVD has a really really imaginative vision of a musical♪ island paradise...just take a look and find all of the ordinary and not so ordinary components which comprise the cover artwork~ which comes complete with guitar bridge, koi oasis, microphone tower, keyboard stairs, speaker buildings, mushroom slide, coffee mug/ disco ball tower, volcano, deer and the details go on and on......oh~ and if you look a bit closer "Mr.Children" is also spelled out ingeniously in all of the island commotion across the lower half of the island~!

It's so *cool~y* detailed and intricate that found myself gazing at it for quite awhile....until okay~! it's time to watch the concert already~! (人∀`*)

In addition to the most *awesome* cover artwork~ there's also a large fold out style poster which doubles as the concert's liner notes on its reverse side~ ＾　＾。

This concert was filmed at Japan's legendary Budoukan~!...and what really makes Mr.Children's♥ lives so so *special~* aside from their of course most awesome songs♪～ is how much they improvise and re~arrange so many of their songs o(*´∀｀)o゛！And with a full arsenal of most amazing and talented musicians they're able to re~create and often times re~invent Sakurai~san's musical♪♪～ masterpieces which can take twists and major turns from what you're used to hearing on their albums~..truly so many surprise improvisations and entirely new intros/interludes within their songs....always so refreshing~ always so breathtaking just being able to witness how much they put into all of their live appearances~!

Before heading into six favorite♥ performances which I've included below and speaking of amazing intros into songs, here's one of my most favorite♥ special intros which appears on Mr.Children's "Home Tour 2007-in the field-"...which I still like to call it their "turtle♥bunny" DVD~ o(*´∀｀)o゛♥

Just below ↓↓↓ Mr.Children's performance of their beautiful ballad "Shirushi" begins with an acoustic intro.....so amazingly~amazingly~!! *sweet~!!! (*´∀｀*)♥♥♥

~Just love how Sakurai'~san's acoustic solo blends seamlessly into the group's live performance as the video with Sakurai~san sitting under a tree heads straight into the heart of the song~♥ ………(゜∀゜)………。

I so needed to begin with "HANABI!!!" It's my favorite♥ song from Mr.Children's 2007 album release.."Supermarket Fantasy" (which is heavily supported here on this concert DVD~ (*´∀｀*) ) after some inner debate & struggle ( `_)乂(_' )。。。(・o・)！as at first I couldn't decide between "HANABI" or "Esora"..both such *awesome* songs~!!!! ~♥~!!!!


Here's just a tiny bit of those special intros which I earlier mentioned~...and here Sakurai~san sooooo genki♥ and *energetic~*!!!! The original pv~ for "Esora" is so so *cute* too~!...I'm sad that YouTube ate it...(;´□｀)


~Just imagine.......the *feeling* of having written a song♪..selling over 1.9 million copies..winning the prestigious song of the year award~!!..and having your song♪ then serenaded by an entire audience filling Nippon Budoukan~ ＾　＾。For Mr.Children that most beloved song♪ and fan favorite♥ is "innocent world" and it's now a long time running tradition for Sakurai~san to ask the audience to sing entire verses & chorus parts and as they've resonated throughout arenas across Japan~ so it's also heard here~.......gives me goosebumps~!!!! just listening (人∀`*)♥♥♥

~Simply, one of Mr.Children's *cutest* songs♪ (*´∀｀*)♥ The style here is very reminiscent of early Mr.Children releases~...especially the *tinkering* of what I think is a xylophone?...the bars you tap with a tiny mallet..＾　＾。


~*Warm* and mesmerizing~ melody♪......and listen for the sweet* lead in from the middle interlude back to the chorus~ (*´∀｀*)♥♥♥


~Extremely cool guitar riffs~!....and Tahara Kenichi~san's guitar *tone* here is ………(゜∀゜)………。♥！！The build~up to the chorus too....one of Mr.Children's best~ ＾　＾。

Ayachan's 2nd album also has very *cute* songs~ to go along with her intense rock energy throughout...and in tracks like "OH! My Darlin'" her sultry♥ voice really shines though~.....so much the essence and ability of a seiyuu to project such emotions all the while being "off screen~!"

Still "Aishite, "Super Driver", "Set me free", "Ano hana no youni" are most favorites♥~!

....no wait! I now think that "OH My Darlin'" is my most favorite♥?....(・c_・;)？it's just such a *cute* song with her style of phrasing and delivery~! Interestingly there's also a song titled "VOXX"...as in this blog's name..."VOX?"…(^q^)

At first I wasn't aware of this edition so I pre-ordered the RE....and then totally forgot to cancel it when I ordered this release instead~...(ノロ≦。)！Does anyone want a RE copy of Hangry & angry "Sadistic Dance?"...if so I'll give it away here if there are any inquiries (*´∀｀*)。

This cute mini tin includes the two disc edition~ and with the additional DVD you receive the pvs~ for both "Top Secret" and "Kill Me Kiss Me"....and both pvs~ absolutely rock!! っo(*´∀｀)o!

More than pure rock songs~♪♪ so many of these compositions embody much more in depth elements as they delve into pop hooks~♥ all the while remaining very very much heavy~! ＾　＾

What is it that I find so *enchanting* about H&A? It's that no matter how raw or heavy the music is, Rikachan's voice can't help but be so cute♥ and *cuddly*~ o(*´∀｀)o゛always~…(^q^)! Yossi on the other hand projects such a fierce look and power in her vocals~and it's a wonderful dynamic as....♥meow♥meow.....

When first seeing the track listing I had a funny inkling that "Lady Madonna" was going to be like The Beatles "Lady Madonna" ………(゜∀゜)………。Well, while it didn't turn out that way first you must hear this~!!!!:

It's a metallic* version of Tsunku's classic~!!..and I love how the chorus breaks into a gallop? of sorts!! ＼(^o^)／☆ Other favorites here are the all new versions of "Angelia", "Kill Me Kiss Me" and "Giza Giza" as they're now "crash berlin versions." ＾　＾ I'm also so in love with "Shake Me" and "Mr. Monkey!!!"....and the title track is amazing too~!

As you may expect the booklet is part lyrics and part fashion statement catalog~ ＾　＾！It's almost time for turkey♥~!...here are the the complete album tracks and scans~...

This intro~ reminds me so much of R.E.M.! ＼(^o^)／☆ Both tracks allow for a bit of a "darker" texture to Yunachan's voice and hers is so perfect always~...range power highs~ lows falsetto vibrato control and deep moodiness~ which convey the lyrics so well~. Now hearing the karaoke track of "Let it Go"...this definitely sounds R.E.M. inspired so much~!!...like their bright and *happy* compositions~ a~h! mandolin?!

Yunachan just keeps becoming more and more *beautiful* each time we see her in a new release~ and "Let it Go" really put so much into lots of varying wardrobe styles....hairstyles (all so *pretty*!!) and on location as well as in studio sets~. So much of this could be a Vogue cover I think~!

I really wanted to share her "Kira Kira Making" of clip too~ (*´∀｀*) (it's just a bit further down ↓↓↓) as you'll see/hear fashion points throughout accompanying her very different wardrobe changes....a wonderful and in depth look into filming as well as a very very sweet♥ surprise at the conclusion of the clip~!! Her birthday♥ was celebrated on set!! and on this most special day for Yunachan~ I *hope* her wishes came true~ on the blow of her candles~ ＾　＾。

With the same laser process that goes into Blu ray discs, Sony has yet again improved clarity and now in the audio market where their audio releases have begun to appear since last year~. Happily their Blu-spec CD technology doesn't require one to purchase a new player to be able to listen♪♪～ to them as they're compatible with all standard CD players ＾　＾。

Matsu♥Takako's latest single release utilizes this very technology~ and here we're given 3 most *beautiful* songs to listen to~ っo(*´∀｀)o!

Both the title track "Kimi to nara" ("When I'm with you") as well as track two "Kitto tsutaete" (I'll definitely tell [you]" ) are very relaxing and *sweet* light contemporary jazz compositions while the third track "500 Miles" falls more as a standard ballad~. A full arsenal of musicians were assembled for these recordings and it really gives each song so much depth down to the subtle strings~.... the sometimes "Brubeck" like jazz piano chords~ as well as the light tingling of the percussion~. Matsu♥Takako's vocals shine so sweetly as she's become so accomplished in this sense with such an elegant delivery, but perhaps it's her song writing that's so very impressive as she continues to pen much of her own music as she composed both lyrics & music in entirety for tracks one and two~. "Kimi to nara"'s first pressing includes an additional DVD...it's a rather short clip though at just over 4 minutes but I found it to be a most entertaining collage of stills, road and in studio footage which were taken from '08~'09 in Los Angeles for the documentary "Time for music" with Matsu♥Takako being joined by a large array of fellow musicians~!

If you're feeling a bit of a lull in your day~ then these two new songs♪♪～ from the beloved "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" anime series are sure to energize and invigorate~!

If you've been watching along then you're sure to recognize that oh so distinctly sassy but sweet~♥ rendition that the most adorable Hirano♥Aya instills into her character Haruhi! as it carries over into the two offerings presented on "Haruhi Suzumiya new character songs Vol. 1!" And you just know that these songs are going to really kick~ in concert..well I'm hoping that she'll perform them live soon~ as her debut concert release was so so mesmerizing~! ………(゜∀゜)………。Hirano♥Aya has an uncanny ability to sound as *cute* as a button♥ (I've heard they're cute♥ by maybe I've been misled? (。ーωー。)。。。) an in an instant she can power-off vocals with the best of them~! ＼(^o^)／☆

Both "Punkish regular" and "sono hikuu wa kitto aoi" feature complete lyrics written by the multi multi talented seiyuu, actress, singer, idol herself♥ as has been the case with with much of Hirano♥Aya's latter releases~. Both songs will hit you like a ton of bricks!! っo(*´∀｀)o!。。。with their deeply infused rock~n~roll♪～ adrenalineヽ(。´▽`。)ノ。。！！As these are "character" songs I'm not quite sure how they're being incorporated into the anime itself now in its second season♥....but whether they're alternate opening/ending themes, interludes, or used in singular scenes~ I've already fallen♥ for them completely.....hm then again these could be completely "imaginary" songs ne~...like as in being strictly "character songs" with no actual connection to the anime~…(^q^)!
