A sort of unwritten rule for double a-side's over the years has usually lended to a distict show of diversity and here Tsunku has penned two very different and distinctly flavored compositions in "Seishun Bus Guide"'s dance/r&b's outer influences and "Rival"'s sweet♥ and strictly "J-Pop" sound~. Songs like "Rival" truly remind of just why I first began listening to J-Pop and why it attracted me so much from the very beginning.

And with this in mind I would love to thank Tsunku for "Rival"....as this is truly "J-Pop" in it's ＊purest＊ form. ＼(^o^)／☆
...has been the ongoing theme for H!P concerts leading up to last month's graduation of the Elder's Club. Hmm...is Tsunku showing us the universal sign for "love?".......me thinks he's actually showing how large the mountain of $cash$ in his basement has grown over the years of taking advantage um no I meant entertaining us~ by saying "this much!"…(^q^) Ahhhh it looks like Iidasan's mountain of $ has somehow overtaken an unsuspecting Tsunku.....things would not end so peacefully after this photoshoot when a camera crewmember unwittingly points out this little detail~... :P
.....(imagines Tsunku's transition from *happy* to throwing a "Koko ni iruze!" tirade. (・_・)
While individual member shirts are set by assigned colors I do love the occasional group shirt which comes in only one color....and with gray, blue, pink, black and yellow being favorite personal colors the sight of a gray Berryz Koubou T-shirt was a most welcome sight!! ………(゜∀゜)………。I think the only two other gray H!P shirts are 2 Kohachan designs from awhile back. Gray simply goes with anything and everything....just like *pink* does~. (。ーωー。)
Group photo sets are also a large part of the attraction to collect these as I tend to not ever wear some of them but that being mostly due to them being somewhat too large for me to fit into properly.....people on the street may think that I just woke up from a friend's slumber party had I worn some of these giant H!P shirts outdoors! :P Then there's the possibility of using our dryer to shrink them a bit...although sometimes not even that approach is successful...(._.;).
Okay this shirt is just gigantic! :o I don't think even the dryer's power can be of help as it's much much too large for me!! (;´□｀) But the 10th anniversary theme was a must have even in hindsight.....so this one goes into the "collection area" rather than the "to be worn area."
After gazing at H!P's symbolic figure on the front for awhile I began to wonder if perhaps GEICO had gotten their idea for that money thingie staring at you stuff from UFI...............(・c_・;)？They're both cute although one saves you money while the other takes it away~. (゜ロ゜ノ)ノ$$$$!......hence the *wink*. ;)
Their 10th anniversary concert events also lend to a most amazing back design which lists the Elder's Club, all members of all three "main" UFI groups as well as soloist Manoeri~......so far this is the only shirt that I have which bears so many member names at once.
Ohta was offering these in a rainbow of assorted colors although I haven't checked recently to see if they're still being listed, but amongst all of the colors was this most awesome color that I like to refer to as shave ice blue...(*´∀｀*). Just looking at this color gives me the sudden urge to go to our North Shore and get some shave ice in this flavor....although we actually did own a little shave ice maker thingie which gave your arm a real workout during those *warm* summer days.....I wonder what ever happened to it. ???
And here's the gray BK shirt that I mentioned earlier....this one is significantly smaller than the shave ice blue one above so it can be worn although I'm not yet sure if I will or not at the moment. These sets are always a bit more pricier nearing $60-70 as they also include member photos and the ever present wristband. =) Of course being there in person to purchase them would save lots and lots of $$$....but for now I will totally embrace these prices albeit quite heightened~!

For the May issue I scanned the features for C-ute, Momusu, Kohachan, Berryz Koubou, Manoeri, cute Nino♥!, gorgeous Matsujun♥!, always adorable Ueto Aya, Aibakun! and Ishihara Satoko.
The Johnny's boys are featured in articles presenting their new spring dramas with Nino in TBS's "DOOR TO DOOR"....Matsujun in TBS's "Smile".....and Aibakun in "Green Fingers"....hmm here we call it having a green thumb. =) Seeing C-ute with a 6 member lineup reminds me sadly of Kannachan's hiatus from the group due to bunion......omg that looks so awfully painful (´⌒｀。). Get well soon Kannachan~! C-ute just isn't C-ute without you~! I wanted to include a partial translation of Manoeri's question & answer and I may have that up a bit later time allowing. Ueto Aya always looks so amazing and I love her CM spot being highlighted in her pictorial........but really next to Matsujun always looking so handsome in "Smile" I'm really liking C-ute in their feature....so adorable as they continue to grow into young ladies........Maimichan is already there! But then I'm sad again thinking of Kannachan's absence.....(;´□｀). Get well soon Kannachan.....I'm sure all C-ute fans miss you so much~. ＾ ＾

Yes Alezra, there are websites you can get Japanese magazines from like Amazon Japan and Cdjapan. Cdjapan offers subscriptions and Amazon offers single issues.

♥~Matsujun~♥!! o(*´∀｀)o゛ We have a store here that accepts subscriptions for Japanese magazines and since my brother already subscribes from them I've asked to have Kindai added on to his orders. Shipping is always so expensive though! :o I've also looked at subscriptions and orders from Cdjapan and Amazonjapan but I think they cost a bit more if I ordered through them instead although I just noticed that Cdjapan has reduced their shipping charges for every type of shipping at their site. ＾ ＾
Each year Paul Thomas at Hello!Blog is even more and more creative with his poll's design....this year's one being one of the most amazing yet!! It's still available to take until the 10th of this month here. ^ ^ Judging by the amount of votes this year that Paul has received so far, the results should quite reflective of the fan consensus outside of Japan as well an within as I believe he mentioned that his poll was linked in Japan as well. =) In any case I think it'll be more of the international fanbase being heard here...I can't wait to see the final results and I'm just hoping that perhaps a few of my favorites will show up~. (*´∀｀*)♪♪
This was sooooooooooo difficult to complete! (・c_・;)？...as I repeatedly scrolled back and forth through the member choices. It was quite unprecedented for me to need to choose between all of H!P including their 3 "flagship groups", active Eggs, soloist and the entire Elder's club which sadly just officially graduated at the end of last month. (´⌒｀。)
So in this sense this is also somewhat of a farewell poll as the Elder's Club has graduated and UFA looks to be headed in much more "idol/youth" direction.
My top 5 choices were somewhat easier choices than the final 5 which had me wanting repeatedly to add in Yukosan, Manoeri, Shibata Ayumi, Nakki, Airiin, Miya, Junjun.....and lol I should now stop before I name everyone in the poll…(^q^)
Let's see.....Nacchi for helping to put this all together, what we now know as H!P.....Kamei for her awesome cuddly quirkiness!~♥......Aichan for her upmost professionalism, vocals and role model qualities~.........Maimichan for being soooo beatiful!!.....(okay not really having any deep thoughts right now but I didn't want to cause sleepiness from my otherwise over indulgence in reasoning :P )........Ayaya for the best vocals in H!P (she'll be missed so much (;´□｀) ).....Momo for being so adorable and so full of helium, may your voice always remain so cute!......Riichan for always making me smile and yes! that little button nose of hers =)......Gakisan for always being so wonderfully honest and *real*, think "Mechaike bakajo" test & her interesting ideas on an amusement park family getaway as shared on Music Figher~......Nocchi for being the cutest Egg who need so much more attention please! =)........and lastly Kohachan, for without you Momusu/H!P would be so much less energized, ♥~frantically hyper~♥......and my goodness, how else would we sell all of this Red Bull? o(*´∀｀)o゛Comments

You know, I thought it was weird that you were closing your blog. You always put a lot of effort in your previous one, and since you're not being paid, you either liked it or were just crazy. So if you ever closed it, I thought it'd be after a series of bad posts showing that you were getting tired of it, and I couldn't notice anything like that.
I'm obviously glad you're back o(^-^)o You usually post while I'm sleeping, so reading your blog and Dilbert before going to school/uni has been an habit for, I don't know, one year and something already. And then getting late if Henkka posted something too, those giant posts he always did... I didn't find anything else to read these past few days, so it's good that I don't have to anymore.

Here's what my rank would be now. Most members who went down did so because I don't see them that much anymore. It's been a while since I last watched H!M... Nowadays the only contact I have with H!P is through Yaguchi Hitori (C), so Yagucchan went way up. And I found out I love Takitty after watching Q.E.D. three times, so yeah, she's there too. depended on how the poller was looking at it. For me, I used this to
think about my top H!P members of all time, simply because the Elder
Club were graduating. If I had looked at it as my current top H!P
members, Rika definitely would have been in the top 10, but I think
Miya would have been number 2. Probably, Rika would have been #6 for
me, if I went by current top H!P members, with Maimi jumping up to #3
(Aichan and Risa staying the same, and Hitomi moving down 1). But
really, the top 10 people would have stayed the same... The order would
have just been rearranged a bit...

With that being said, Tsunku's latest offering to BK has alas broken these binds of youth....not to be worried though!.....the songs are still full of youthful charge, it's just that "Dakishimete Dakishimete" has shed the childlike aspect altogether which I'm sure some fans may have been puzzled about as of late. I may be a bit of a strange one for saying this, that I actually adored their somewhat "overly" youthful releases but this I also cannot deny. XD

Really so many mixed feelings about this year's Sprint Cup opener..........just happy and excited to see the new season get kicked off in grand fashion while at the same some not so good developments occurred during the 51st running of what should be "the great American race" each year. But before anything...I'd like to congratulate Matt Kenseth and Jack Rouch on their first Daytona 500 win!!! Matt is so deserving.....he's always been one of the most respected and classiest of Cup drivers on the circuit through the years...congratulations Matt! ＼(^o^)／☆
While this is indeed just race one of a thirty six race long season it was heartwrenching to see all three of my favorite drivers finish in not so great positions with Jeff Gordon finishing in a disappointing 13th along with teammates Dale Jr. in 27th and Jimmie Johnson in 31st (´⌒｀。).
Restrictor plate racing in general has always been a wildcard on the schedule each year and none more than the season opening event where the leveled horsepower amongst cars along with Daytona's slick and often bottling track configuration often causes the feared "big one" which seems to inevitably change the very face and landscape of its competitors at any given inopportune moment. The "best" handling cars seemingly almost rarely win the event these days as often more than not they fall victim to circumstances out of their control including but not confined to untimely tire failure, other driver's errors, or dare I now say.....mother nature herself? Really one can conclude that each and every driver and team in the field is equally faced with such misfortune on any given lap and while that is true...somehow through recent years that just hasn't been the case in the midst of twists and turns which this event inevitably seems to throw at its most prestigious and well equipped competitors. Being at "the wrong place at the wrong time" is most popular....a direct result of restrictor plate racing and while this brand of racing is mesmerizing for fans to witness, just how gut wrenching it must be for the 43 drivers in the field for each event, something most of us will never truly know.
The skies opened up at Daytona International Speedway just about three quarters through yesterday's event pushing NASCAR's hand to call the race prematurely and while the post race fallout has been notably sour amongst writers and fans alike to a great extent, I do find NASCAR's reasoning to be well thought out and despite my own personal desire to also witness the final quarter of the race possibly held today giving the full advertised 500 miles its due I do understand their reasoning. A carried over finale held on Monday would give race teams a much shorter time which is needed to travel back to NC (the sight of most Cup team's headquarters) to load new cars & equipment before heading cross country all the way to California for the season's 2nd event. Furthermore with the current economy in it's bad state the cost to teams to stay an extra day at Daytona would further push teams into dismal financial situations which they are already facing head on full force. From a fan's standpoint I do see the need for NASCAR's biggest event to run in its entirety but when I take a step back and consider these circumstances.....much of them due to the big three American auto industries' struggles in these times I can see why NASCAR called the race last evening. Surely I was most disappointed along with every other fan but in this new gloomy economic landscape however, even fans I think should be most forgiving and understanding in these dark circumstances where race teams are merging and dismantling much of their resources just to survive.
The wreck ensuing due to Dale Jr. and Brian Vickers' getting together on the backstretch just added to the already gloomy forcast of weather on the way and in this one instant, truly changed the outcome of the race with many of the race contenders and best cars leaving the track in utter wrecked fashion. There's always three sides to the story when a wreck like this occurs and I'll refrain from going into it any further right now as many of these wounds are still weighing greatly on everyone's minds....mine included of course. :(

Hmmm....if I find more goodies to give away surely I will most likely stick with this new format in the future as it adds an extra element of excitement as the results are broadcast on live t.v. for everyone to see. ^ ^ And in the future we should see the full duration of the events play out as they were intended......Mother Nature..onegai~! ^ ^

I was out all morning and just got home and I'm so sorry for not replying to your messages yet but I will be online for awhile now so I can reply to everyone. ^ ^ I'm sorry if it takes me awhile to reach your message as I have about 30 now it's grown to over 50...of them now to respond to and I'll be replying in order. =)
I've received some really great ideas for what method to use in giving away BK's "Kokuhaku no funsui hiroba" (RE) CD single and the reasoning for fairness has popped and idea into my mind and I think it will also keep a bit of intrigue into whom the winner is!
The choice of Daytona reflects the need for fairness as along with it's sister superspeeday track Talladega, the best cars don't always necessarily finish the best and on any given lap a driver can go from leading the race all the way back to 35th place or worse...it's an amazing product of the draft and how it manipulates cars and speed and when a driver is left or pushed out of the draft they sink in the field like a stone! In addition there's also a great unpredictability that comes with the large wrecks that occur at restrictor plate tracks such as Daytona where another driver's small mistake on any lap can have catastrophic effects on much of the field wrecking cars that just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. And when it comes to qualifying, unlike many other tracks on the Cup Series circuit, Daytona's starting grid doesn't give much of a clue to where a driver is likely to finish. Take for example Dale Earnhardt Jr. who started dead last in 43rd spot at Talladega a few years ago and 500 miles later he won the race! ^o^ So while it's great to qualify up front that may or may not be any indication of a good finish, so hopefully this reflects a fair way of giving away this single. ^ ^
Oh and I'm also thinking that I'm certainly the only one here who lives NASCAR each sunday so that also makes it fair for everyone else as the drivers for the most part will be unfamiliar to many I'm thinking.
Hmmm....I would share my choices but I'll probably be wrong and that would take away too much of the fun! :P Just for reference here are the starting and finishing positions from last year's Daytona 500 and a few other tidbits:

Also note that some drivers may have changed race teams over the off season while some drivers may not necessarily qualify for the 2009 race. In the event that you've chosen a driver that doesn't make the 43 car field, after qualifying you'll be able to choose a different driver in the race.
