Dear Paul......what exactly is a "Boosh?" O_o
Paul's Christmas present has had me quite occupied recently and it's an amazing set which contains 7 discs, art cards as well as a button set. There sure seems to be a love of skulls here and it's a bit puzzling. LOL Paul chose this out before he quite understood whom he was sending it to as he explained to me later.....but I may have then missed out the world of "The Mighty Boosh" otherwise so I think it worked out okay! ^ ^ Surely I'm guessing that this show
caters to a male audience but still I find myself very amused by it! =) So many questions to ask though....
This box set is very impressive at it's production is amazing and so well put together........oh and yes!....

So I''ve been watching the world of Vince Noir and Howard Moon these past few nights and there's a truly an alluring quality to this show as the writing and characters as you get to know and understand them truly become quite endearing for the viewer. I've really never watched British t.v. before....wait. Have I ever? What am I talking about? :P Everything seems to occur around their work setting of a most strange zoo.......as the "animals" are characters in themselves as all parts are acted out via some really interesting, sometimes, odd but always amusing costumes. ^ ^ My favorite episode so far has to be the whole mix up at Grim Reaper department where an unfortunate Howard is at the wrong place at the wrong time as he was just dressed up as the zoo's resident gorilla as to keep visitors from becoming aware of said gorillas health demise.......but in a wacky turn of events the grim reaper approaches the gorilla cage and unknowingly takes Howard dressed as a gorilla instead of the gorilla himself. :P This must sound all too strange but really if you get a chance to watch a few episodes it all sort of becomes quite normal............well normal as normal can be in the world of the Boosh. I love the opening dialogues! Those are always great! ^ ^
That leads to one question for Paul. What exactly is a "Boosh." Did I miss it as I don't think it was ever explained but then there are various terms used at times which I'm unfamiliar with........but if I asked Paul all of my questions and concerns about this show surely he may grow to regret sending this show to me! :P
Paul it's now time for a little bit of word and thought association. I'll mention some things from the show and you say the first thing that comes to mind! lol.....just kidding really but here we go~! ..................... pocket cup, kangaroo fighting, wait OMG what's under Howard's shirt...something that they never show, should we all be grateful????, musical...sometimes characters burst into song at the most unexpected times! ^ ^ , are kangaroos really that vicious??? O_o!!...disembowelment??, OMG Howard just knocked out that little boy! :O!!!, trumpets & bookmarks???...Eh? really?, Gideon has trouble with Howard's name or perhaps even his very existence....poor guy!, "gray leg face man?" lol! that's their description of an elephant! ^o^, how do you "rinse someone out like a hot flannel???, "hand foot man" = a gorilla??? lol, "Mr. windy man" = a python! lol, OMG is that how you defeat a vicious kangaroo??? :O, Paul what are "lady lumps?"....just kidding! :P, an empty balloon.......='s Howard's face...poor guy! :/, Mr. Fossil = baka!, John Coltrane reference at Howard's um sort of funeral was funny!, Bollo the ape, the grim reaper travels by taxi??? O_o???
Okay that probably made absolutely no sense unless you've watched "The Mighty Boosh" and I apologize. But what is a "Boosh" anyway?

As for the audience, I'd say it's a fairly mixed crowd I know guys and girls that like it (lol, and dont like it) at the live show I went to a few weeks ago all the girls were going crazy for Vince, throughout the whole thing you could here cries of "I love you Vince" and "Marry me Vince", lol I felt kinda sorry for Howard...so have you fallen for Vince yet? ;p
On thinking about I probably would have still sent it over knowing what I know now, it's my favourite show and I love sharing it with people as it's such a unqiue show.
You guess is as to what a Boosh is as good as mine, we're never really let into what (if anything) it is, lol it's always the first question everybody asks.
The Grim Reaper episode is a classic episode and a good introduction to Bollo, although he dies in the episode, he's alive and kicking later and takes up more of a role in the 2nd and 3rd series along with Naboo, both are amazing characters and we get to meet even more of their shamen friends...Tony Harrison being another one of my favourite characters. Plus later on the crimping becomes amajour part of the series (the quick random singing between Vince and Howard) especially in the 3rd series.
Glad you're enjoying it, I promise it gets much srtranger the more you watch it! If you can make it into the later series and episodes I think you'll really enjoy them. Any more questions, lol I'm sure you have them, just ask!
Um.....just one more....lol actually I've already asked it and you've already answered but um what is a 'Boosh?' :P Maybe you could make something up! :P
The 2nd and 3rd series take place outside of the Zooniverse and all the zoo is a funny series outside we get to meet a lot more characters and situations, if you can make further into the series I really recommend giving them a watch.
Yep the actual moon, he has some of the most random lines within the whole show, normally they have nothing to do with anything but are just amazingly funny! It's amazing what some cream cheese on your face and a bit of special effects can do, lol.
Well I've had a dig around on the net and apparently a boosh is someone's hair, from what I've read a friend of the guy who plays Naboo saw him after he had a hair cut and said "Oooh, you have a curly boosh, a mighty boosh..." not as exciting as I had hoped for, lol.
