[this is good]
Amae! So beautiful. Thanks MB. Nice 1.
LoL, whoever edited these videos has some sense of humor. I love how someone wrote "That's the most powerful pickup line I've heard" =P
Watching these videos you posted reminded me how surprised I was when I first saw her... Her normal voice is sooo different from how she sounds as Haruhi... It was this Hey Hey Hey! video, there's a part (2:15) when she changes her voice that I've seen some hundreds of times since...
The live concert in one of the last episodes is my favorite part *_* it's just so perfectly animated... And it's sooooo rare to find an anime series like that. It's the kind of animation you'd expect from a big budget 1h and a half anime movie, not a TV anime series, they went all the way to sync the characters with the songs... It's better than all more music-focused anime I've seen, that's for sure ^_^
If you like Haruhi, I HIGHLY suggest you check out Lucky Star -- although the humor makes much more sense if you are well versed in the anime/game/idol/cosplay otaku world.
It's based on a 4-koma comic series, so the episodes come across like a series of shorts. Very easy to watch, and equally as cute. And of course, Aya is lead of Konata.

OMIGOSH i love that Anime well at least i love the style... I really want to watch it :3 It seems like a really cute Anime :3

*Hugs*
Like Anise & Cloves said, Lucky Star is great too, it's by the same studio that made Haruhi and Aya is there. The humor does involve otaku stuff, but it's not like an all out parody that you'd miss most of the jokes if you don't know the original materials... It's more like Densha Otoko (dorama, have you seen it?). But I'd rather recommend Azumanga Daioh, that one does get very weird sometimes but it's the funniest thing ever. Of course that's my own opinion. Here, have some links to summaries:

Lucky Star
Azumanga Daioh

Hi Craig!....it's been awhile since I've gotten so hooked on a series! I hope you enjoyed the clips...maybe I should add more? Don't know....
Thank so much HarimaKenji! for sharing this clip!! I love how Downtown reacted to her real voice and even the audience...(so many female fans there yay!) was amazed at the difference! It's supposed to be the actor who plays Kyon who is doing the narrative editing in white.....he's like her personal cameraman in the eight part series of clips. =) So funny because it's almost like he's in full Kyon mode with his sly humor and funny antics!…(^q^)

And Yay! you found the exact phrase by Ayachan which just *moved* me so much when I heard it! I've heard lots of emotional artists MCs mostly from concerts and events but Ayachan's trumps them all! o(*´∀`)o゛♥ I kept rewinding this portion of the clip and rewatching....I'm just so moved and there's such a cute humorous aura to it too..especially with the fans interaction with her at this point! ^ ^

During the MCs in her "Riot Tour" concert DVD she sometimes goes between full "Haruhi" vocals to normal......she's just so amazing and even there there are so many female fans in the audience! Yay! \(^o^)/☆

You're so right as the animation sequence during Haruhi's live performance is meticulously done with so much attention to detail and timing! I'm just soooo in ♥ with this series now! I just began watching it again last night....so funny, I need something new to watch soon or I'll begin to drive the others bonkers with me watching it over and over! XD
Hmm.....I may be only slightly knowledgeable in some of those but I think I could possibly relate enough to enjoy the series......lol but then you'll probably hear me with tons of questions later like E~h?! What? I'm so confused!!…(^q^)

I'm writing all of these down....my anime to watch list! =) So far I have suggestions of "K-ON", "Lucky Star" and "Azumanga Daioh." Ayachan in "Lucky Star" makes me want to order right away!!! ………(゜∀゜)………。I hope it's available for sale.....

I love episodic t.v.! Thank you so much! My world is now expanding! ^ ^
It's really wonderfully out there!! (*´∀`*) For dreamers...and the writing really is amazing! The characters are so well written and acted....perfect themes.....engaging narration..offbeat surprises...and then there's of course Hirano Aya.
I've watched the "Densha Otoko" series too...hopefully it'll prepare me! =) I think I'll watch both although I'm now wondering is the "Lucky Star" series still airing or are the 6 available volumes complete? I guess being that they're episodic it shouldn't really matter but when hooked I'm sort of insatiable...shamelessly I'd want to watch them all no doubt! XD I wonder if they'll release a complete series in one set anytime soon...

Checking "Azumanga Daioh" on Amazon.com I noticed that they're 3 different complete version box sets......I'm thinking to go with the first one titled complete class album as I think that cover looks the *prettiest*. XD 6 discs, 650 minutes.....it looks like they all have the same running time although I'm not sure of the extras included with each edition and if one is perhaps more inclusive than the others? Sorry to be so clueless! :P
Lucky Star is already over, it aired about two years ago. The 6 volumes are complete.

I'm not sure myself about the differences between the box sets, but if you look at the reviews, one of them says the "complete class album" doesn't have extras.
Oh yeah, let me add they will probably make a sequel to Lucky Star someday, there's still a lot of material going on in the manga (still being published in Japan), and there's already an OVA for Lucky Star that I'm imagining isn't included in these 6 volumes. What I meant is that it does complete the first season.
Hmmm...I guess me being so late always to watch anything I'm so spoiled by complete sets! XD I also noticed that they have alternate special editions for "Lucky Star"......that T-shirt is so *cute*!!! o(*´∀`)o゛ Seifuku on print! ^^

Okay I musn't shop by *cute* appearances anymore! (._.;) Thank you for pointing this out!!! The extras are soooooo desirable! I'll order one of the other two box sets instead. Thank you! =)
So happy that great beloved series get sequels!! And they must keep the same voice acting cast ne~....well since I'm yet to see an single episode I'm just thinking about Hirano Aya's presence! ^^ I'm planning on ordering both anime series! Thank you so much for the recommendations and links! You're so knowledgeable~! (*´∀`*)
It would still be better to find out exactly what the other sets contain, but I'm lost as to where to go looking for that =/ I'm starting to think I can't find much detail because there's nothing much to find about. For example, in this review for the originally released Volume 3, one sentence reads:

"While ADV are praised by many fans for often including a lot of extras on their discs, Azumanga once again proves a surprising disappointment for the most part. The actual on-disc extras are the exact same things seen in the past couple releases; aside from an automatically-cycling set of production sketches, clean opening and closing, and trailers, there's nothing to be found here. However, the saving grace comes from what's packaged with the disc, rather than what's actually on it. Another wonderful reversible cover, this time featuring Sakaki on both the default and reverse, and the booklet of translation notes, production commentary, and character sketches (of both Sakaki and Kaorin) is as in-depth and insightful as ever. Also included with this volume is an adorable lapel pin of Sakaki's plush cat doll (and one of AzuDai's mascots), Necoconeco."

And if they didn't include much in the original DVDs, and nothing in the descriptions for the box sets (which are usually the same DVDs put together) talks about added extras... Well, I start to wonder if they have anything worthwile.
Hmmm...lol here I was just going to choose one because I liked its packaging more! I do find it odd that it was released 3 different times and yet all have a running time of 650 minutes although that really may not include the time of the extras included or lack of them. :/

Hmmm..I'm not sure which to choose now. (・c_・;)?Maybe ignorance is truly bliss.....as in me not knowing of the unknown features or lack of them in each set leads to me not being disappointed with any of them? LOL...that sounds so stupid I know!...(^q^) I'll order one of them other than the "Class Album edition" and hope for the best ne~. =)
Famous series are released so many times with almost no difference... First they release separate volumes, then just put all of them together in a package slightly cheaper, then change the packaging or something and release again yet cheaper, and then maybe add a ton of extras and some fancy packaging, call it Collector's Edition, way too expensive for most people, then when Blu-ray or HD-DVD or whatever appears, repeat from the beginning in the new medium. All things considered, just choosing the one with the pretty packaging is perfectly reasonable instead of struggling with all the choices. Or like you said, ignorance is bliss.
I am not a big anime fan but i have to admit Suzumiya was awesome, very funny and very clever in my opinion i like the music as well. (^_^)V
I also suggest Azumanga Daioh. I suggest getting the thin DVD box set - there are no great extras - I think the packaging extras were limited to the single DVD editions, which are long out of print.

Those are all great series to get started off with. I also think you might like School Rumble. ^^
I think that was plenty. You did good :)
It's soooo true what you just said!!! Some movie and t.v. series here get released much in the same manner with new editions upon new editions appearing after you've already got the original one. Sometimes it's saddening when a latter edition gets more extras......but I guess it's truly part of the cycle with how studios release series and movies. =) LOL sometime me not knowing the full details leads to the purchase of the same releases twice when I want the extras too later. XD Thank you so much for all of your help! ^ ^
It was one of those rare times that I knew of the opening theme song a bit before seeing the anime it was tied into which made all of the music even more charming~! Plus it's Hirano Aya so it's all pure ♥! I just love her seiyuu voice! (*´∀`*) I don't watch nearly enough anime but I look to helping that a bit very soon as I'm planning to watch a few more series now with some great recommendations here. =) Loved the writing too.....such a great series!!
Thank you so much!!.....I was just feeling a bit lonely having finished Haruhi maybe too quickly with nothing new to watch but with these recommendations they'll surely remedy this!! I'm planning to watch both series thanks to all of your advice~.......okay thin box set to my shopping cart! =)

You must have watched so many anime especially with your artistic background~....thank you so much!! ^ ^
I hope you enjoyed the clips!! =) The extras that come with Haruhi's box set are really extraordinary!! They give so much insight into all that goes into creating an anime and so so much on Hirano Aya! (*´∀`*)♥
