A look back at Morning Musume's "sweet morning box 2004"...when UFA releases were fab!
Here's the 3rd and final Morning Musume Christmas box set which was released in December of 2004. This set sold for 5250 yen and marks the last of the really creative releases that H!P has produced in the form of a larger collectible. Interestingly it states on the box that this item was to only be sold within Japan! Luckily Cdjapan either wasn't aware of this or didn't bother reading the box. :)
Again the packaging here is beautifully done as the box itself is designed to appear as a red brick building and the well placed "windows" on its front side display 2 of this collectibles' primary items. All four sides are decorated and the back side of the box has all 12 members pictured on balconies. The group lineup for this box set includes: Kaorin, Marippe, Rikachan, Yossi, Aichan, Konkon, Makochan, Gakisan, Mikitty, Kamei, Sayu, & Tanakachi. Gen. 6 just barely snuck in there!
The goodies included in this set include a beautifully picture labeled holiday DVD with personal messages & recollections, a Christmas card, year planner (diary) & notebook with numerous member/ group photos, stickers, snow dome, & glass scented candle.
Above are the sheet of stickers along with a sheet of inserts. The snow dome was created with a thin hollow center area where an insert can be placed. The sheet above on the right shows all of the available inserts which includes each member as well as a group shot and Christmas design. The inserts are 2 sided and as you may notice Aichan is missing.......
...as she's currently in the snow dome......
...and here's a shot of the "snow" in action. :) Sorry I couldn't use the camera's flash here as it obscured the snow dome's image. Add to that the fact that I'm not very good with a camera. :P
And here's a view of the back of the snow dome showing the back side of the insert which includes a holiday wish from Aichan complete with her personal artwork and signature. And this being from back in 94', it's her old way of signing that's seen here. I really preferred it when she used to sign her first name in kanji along with that little cute monkey guy! :)
And lastly here's a photo of the glass scented candle. Kind of looks like strawberry jello in there but actually it smells a little strange. :P

My how old-fashioned!

-Makes scents...
heh heh heh -Sorry, my jokes are like that sometimes...
;-)
I like that explanation and I'll now call this scent "Momusu." It really is strange though, like nothing I've ever smelt before!
My friend says that you can get sheets of stickers printed at some stores ( I think she found out originally at walmart) but I think that you'd have to get the entire thing on one sheet and cut them out seperately later... I'll post back if I get a chance to ask her more...we just don't see a lot of each other considering I now live 5 hours away by plane ( ̄□ ̄; )
-Scented sheets.
You know, with everyone's (USA) paranoia over "tainted imported toys" lately, I would hope some good people could be producing them here at home.
In this day and age of terrorism, I would expect that any Imported versions of scented stickers would be closely scrutinized for "scented warfare", especially after the SARS scare we all had a couple of years ago.
EVERYONE, PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHILST SHOPPING THIS YEAR!!!
-I don't want to lose any friends EITHER!!!!
Morningberryz: I hope you've taken a peek at my "It's Official..." post, because I mentioned you, and added a direct link to your page, from mine. (-Also, I left a small note, just for you!)
Also, I was VERY surprised to hear about the "Alvin And The Chipmonks" movie tonight...! (-It was prieviewed when I went to see "Hitman" earlier tonight) -And, I was also surprised that you had made mention of it on your page tonight too!
Heh heh heh -I might have to go see this one!!!
:-)
Yes, they have returned! -The movie will be out soon, and they will be singing their old hit "Please Christmas Don't Be Late".
heh heh heh -"Helium buddies"....
;-)
I was kinda surprised to hear about it too. -But, with the "movie remake frenzy" going on in Hollywood, I guess it was bound to happen!
They showed movie prieviews for "Alvin...", "AVP: Requiem", some dumb-looking Basketball-themed Will Farrell movie, and "Iron Man" when I went to see "Hitman".
Wow... this is soooo cute!! You're really a HUGE HP fan eh? haha
Were those artworks and sigs on the back of the pics printed on or did they write ?? Just curious...hehe
And... you're not bad with the camera... =)
