A look back at Morning Musume's "sweet morning box 2003."
On the eve of the drawing which includes Momusu's 2002 Christmas box set I thought I'd take this opportunity to share a look at the edition that followed the next year. Sadly these collections were only released between 2002-2004 as I would have loved to have seen what a 2007 edition would've looked like. The 2003 & 2004 editions are housed beautifully in well made decorative boxes and the 2003 edition has member photos gracing all four sides.
To start off the packaging for this release as is with the other 2 is absolutely gorgeous! The first 2 items that you see are a Christmas themed DVD (the age of VHS has finally passed at this point!) which is beautifully picture labeled with every member and an cute miniature artificial Christmas tree! The tree comes complete with ornaments, bells, tiny decorative presents, and little poinsettia flowers and all that's missing are Morning Musume member ornaments which are also included!! Perhaps one day I'll actually hang their ornaments on the tree but as of now every thing's been preserved. The members included in this lineup are Aichan, Yossi, Kamei, Aibon, Nacchi, Sayu, Mikitty, Tanakachi, Rikachan, Nono, Gakisan, Marippe, Makochan, Kaorin, & Konkon! And with so many members the DVD is quite extensive as well and includes Christmas messages from each member along with a lot of holiday joy. :) The packaging is quite ingenious as the rest of the goodies are hidden underneath the cardboard inserts.
Also included is a Morning Musume year planner along with a sticker sheet. The planner is filled with tons of member photos and also includes a notepad section.
Here's a better look at the miniature Morning Musume Christmas tree which sits in a cute little stand along with a 2 sided glossy fold out sheet which includes the member ornaments and Christmas card with member messages. But perhaps the most personalized item that's included in this box set...
...is the great Christmas plate that bears the art from every member in this current lineup! Next to the little stars are each member's name above their Christmas drawings & messages. Sorry that this image has been obscured by the camera's flash as my room's not lit to well. Each member's individual personality is well represented in these drawings and the plate itself is very well made. Would make a nice decorative piece that could be displayed upon a stand at Christmas time or perhaps year round. :)

The plate is really nice and it's what drew me to the set whenI first saw it, the artwork around the side is just great, it's such an original idea. I really wish that they started releasing things like this again, oh well, fingers crossed we get a new lot of scarfs this year at least.
Wow, what an elaborate presentation. Packaging can be everything sometimes.

Was having a look through the Hello Shop website and although I still can't see any scarves I did a glass collection, I'll have a dig around for the link in a minute, but they look quite cool, would love to be able to get complete set and invite people round for drinks and show the glasses off...although it wouldn't be like anyone would be able to drink out of them just in case they got broke, lol. They also come with a coaster as well!
Drink sets?! I will have to take a look at those! Hmm maybe if I buy more than one I could actually use one of them. :P
Thats the link to the glasses, it looks like when visiting the site I must have always missed the page that links to them, H!P wallets, a Nono shirt and what I want most of all a Nono beach towel (well it looks like a beach towel).
Lol, the scary thing is if they carried on releasing H!P related house holdy items I'd more than likely buy them. Hmmm, I feel like a cup of tea, must get out my Sayumi mug and switch on my Risao kettle.
This release is so beautiful! I love the creativity that is (sadly) lacking in current releases. We can only hope for things like this to be more commonplace in the future! I can just picture C-ute and Berryz making some really interesting gifts! They would have to have a "Chirstmas set making DVD" :D
